Red Rock Park

If you’re looking for an easy hike near Boston, Red Rock Park is an excellent choice. The trail is accessible for all ages and levels of fitness. Check this out!

This historic waterfront park enjoys a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean. It is also home to tide pools that are filled with colorful marine plants and animals.

The Beach

The beach at Red Rock Park Lynn MA is a wonderful spot to relax, sunbathe, and catch some rays. Its wide sandy shores are perfect for swimming, and the surrounding area is full of fun activities like boogie boarding, tennis, volleyball, and more.

During the summer, this state beach is packed with families and sun-worshipers. But even in the off-season, this beach is still a popular destination for swimmers.

This beach also offers spectacular views of the ocean and is surrounded by a massive system of sand dunes, which help protect it from storms. Visitors will find tide pools brimming with sea life at low tide, and can take in the scenery from the top of the sand dunes.

The beaches along Massachusetts’ long coast offer something for everyone – perfect swimming, beaches that are a thrill for surfers, and others that have miles of sand and beautiful tide pools. The best part is that no matter where you go, you can always expect a beautiful setting.

The Walkway

With fall in the air and the weather beginning to cool off, it was time to test out some of the great outdoor spaces in this corner of Boston. One of our favorites is Red Rock Park. Located just steps from the water and a quick walk from Swampscott, this quaint and charming oasis of a park is a must-see. It boasts a huge open lawn, a small but well-conceived sidewalk, and an abundance of trees for shade from the sun and the glaring Boston skyline on a clear day.

As far as parks go, this one isn’t one of the most pristine in the area but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a lot to offer. Whether you’re seeking out a sand dune or looking for the best place to watch a sunset, this little nook of Lynn is worth a visit for the plethora of activities on display. It’s one of the most enticing places to take in the natural beauty of this city, especially on a warm sunny day. Here is another spot to visit.

The Rocks

Whether you’re visiting Red Rock Park to watch a concert at the world-famous amphitheater, or want to hike and explore the natural landscape, there are plenty of things to see and do in this picturesque location. The huge sandstone monoliths that comprise the amphitheater, Ship Rock and Creation Rock, are awe-inspiring.

There are also a number of trails that lead around the grounds. Hikers often enjoy taking a leisurely stroll around this breathtaking landscape to take in the views and appreciate the incredible formations that are all around them.

If you’re interested in a little nature, there’s a shallow cave at the north end of the park that is worth exploring. You can find it by walking up a small incline from the lower north parking lot.

If you’re interested in exercise, you can sign up for Yoga on the Rocks, a unique experience that is a surefire way to de-stress and get your body moving. You’ll get a great workout while surrounded by the beauty of the natural environment.

The Trails

The warm weather that has been creeping up on us New Englanders is not just one of our favorite times of the year, but also a great time to explore some of the state’s most beautiful hiking trails. Right now in late May and early June, Massachusetts is experiencing the perfect combination of warm, sunny weather and cool, crisp air.

If you’re in the mood for a little exercise while taking in the scenery, you’ll love these scenic hikes that are within easy reach of Boston. With a variety of difficulty levels, there’s something for everyone!

We started our adventure at Lynn Woods Reservation, which offers more than 30 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. While most of these are short, easy trails, seasoned mountain bikers will appreciate the more technical terrain. Continue reading about Chandler Hovey Park.
