Tile and grout cleaning on the Seacoast & North Shore

When the grout still looks dirty after mopping, another pass with the mop can feel like wasted effort. Richard checks the floor and its condition, then prices the cleaning and any suitable sealing before the work.

Which tiled areas can be assessed?

Kitchen and bathroom floors, entryways and tiled bar areas can be included in a cleaning assessment. Showers, sinks, outdoor tile and tiled fireplace surrounds need their surface, condition and equipment access checked before the work is confirmed. Cleaning and optional sealing are quoted for the suitable areas agreed.

Is professional tile and grout cleaning worth it?

It can be worth an assessment when routine mopping leaves grout lines or busy sections of the floor looking dirty. We look at the material and condition to determine what cleaning can address. That separates a cleaning need from worn or damaged flooring before work begins.

“The kitchen and family room floors which are about 20 years old, look like they did the day they were installed. That includes the grout”

What is the difference between cleaning and sealing?

Cleaning addresses the condition of the tile and grout; sealing is a separate service that we review for suitability. The quote identifies whether cleaning alone or cleaning with sealer is planned. Existing sealer and previous floor treatments matter when deciding what to use.

Perfection Carpet Cleaners offers tile and grout cleaning with optional sealing. This service does not include stone restoration, polishing or color sealing. We identify the material and review any areas of damage before recommending work.

This keeps the decision practical: first establish what the floor is, then agree what will be cleaned and whether a sealer belongs in that job.

What if the floor feels sticky or looks hazy after mopping?

The cleaning products and previous treatments are useful starting points for assessing a sticky or hazy floor. We review what has been used and the surface itself before choosing the next step. Adding a different product without identifying the material can complicate the job.

Tile, grout and natural stone do not all have the same care requirements. Product directions and the floor manufacturer’s guidance are the starting point for routine care. Our assessment is based on the floor in front of us and the history you provide.

The guide to sticky or hazy floors explains why identifying the material matters before changing the cleaning method.

How do you plan a tile-cleaning visit?

The visit starts with the floor area, the material and the concerns you want addressed. Approximate room dimensions help us understand the size; the quote confirms the final work. A floor with several connected rooms needs the layout considered as a whole.

Drying and return-to-use guidance are specific to the floor and any sealer used. The 4–6-hour drying estimate for carpet does not apply to tile. We explain the timing for the work being done so you can plan use of the room.

Does every floor need sealer?

No. Sealing is an option to review for the specific floor. We include it in the quote when appropriate and agreed.

Can carpet and tile be cleaned on one job?

Yes. Perfection Carpet Cleaners can prepare one quote for the suitable surfaces being cleaned. Carpet cleaning and furniture cleaning have their own service details.
