Dry carpet cleaning and hot-water extraction: choosing the service

Carpet-cleaning methods have different requirements. The carpet manufacturer’s care instructions, the material and the soil being addressed should guide the choice.

What method does Perfection Carpet Cleaners use?

Perfection Carpet Cleaners uses hot-water extraction, commonly called steam cleaning. The equipment includes a truck-mounted system and portable units for access needs such as upper-floor apartments.

Carpet typically dries in 4–6 hours, with conditions affecting timing. We review the rooms and condition before agreeing the job.

What should you ask when comparing methods?

The useful comparison is the actual method, what the quote includes, suitability for the carpet and when the rooms can be used again. A label such as “dry” is not enough to answer all of those questions.

The Carpet and Rug Institute recommends following the carpet manufacturer’s cleaning requirements. A product or method should not be chosen solely because it sounds faster.

What does the cleaning quote cover?

We review room dimensions, hallways, stairs, access and any pet-treatment needs. Deodorizer is included with standard carpet cleaning. See the carpet-cleaning service for current pricing and preparation.
